This is my brochure about viruses , trojan horses , worms and phishing.
This include tips how to protect your computer get rid of infections when you have any of these “infections” and also some info about them.
PHISHING
Phishing is the act of sending an email claiming to be a established user or commercial but really just is someone trying to scam you. For example there is this email that is sent around the world where the email tells you if you give me for example 400 dollar just so i can get out of my country you will get 50 million dollars that i have but i cant reach . There is also those kind of emails that tricks you to go to a website and give up personal information but that is just a fraud then they might steal your money or destroy your account.just because you gave it all up on one webbpage.Phishing can come from everyone a co-worker , websites your a member of it can even come to you cellphone.Spam is also one type of phishing.
To get rid of phishing you could reset your password , Notify your bank so they can help you keep track of your account, get a new virus protection it helps so your computer wont get infected at the time, notify other people that you got cheated from that email, look if there are any added email accounts to your mail, change all security questions and write down the answers.
The first thing you can do to protect yourself from phishing is
Worm.
A worm is different from a virus in a way that a worm dont need a program to spread is just spreads itself.The computer worm was actually accidentaly released in 1988 by a man called Robert Tappan Morris . The most famous worms are the Melissa-worm in 1999 the Sobig worms in 2003 and the Mydoom worm in 2004 they all were spread by email.for example there can be a massmail with a webbpage as soon as you go in to check it out malware is downloaded to your computer.
there are some cautions you can take for example
1. update your anti-virus spyware
2. install a firewall.
3. do not open any email from a unknown sender. and do not check out webbpages you dont trust.
They way to protect yourself from worms is actually the same way to protect yourself from other viruses.

Virus
A virus on the computer works just as a virus in a human. For example if you have a cold and then sneez or cough on another person they get infected. The difference is that a computer forwardes a virus by email or different sites. A way to protect yourself from viruses is dont accept anything that you arent sure of what it is. if a folder have zipper do not accept it has a risk of being a virus. But that is not the only problem a virus can also be embeded into a picture a song or a video. Two simple tips you can protect yourself from viruses is to not accept anything dont download anything and find a really good antivirus protection. But your computer can not only be infected by accepting files it can copy itself and infect your computer without your permission or your knowledge.If you get a virus on your computer it can be compltely destroyed. And if you happen to get a virus on your work computer if might spread to everyone else in the office if you are connected to the same net.
How to get rid of a virus:
Step 1. Install new virus updates and then run them thourhg your computer. if it cant delete the virus it will at least identify it.
Step 2 . Search the web and learn more about your virus ( Just like you do with disease )
Step 3 . Download or install other programmes than can help your get rid of the virus.
Step 4 . Run another virus scan to make sure your computer is virus free.
Then for the future here come some tips how to protect yourself from viruses.
1. make sure your anti-virus protection is up to date and active.
2. Protect yourself against VBScript viruses
3. Suspect every email attachment.
4.Protect yourself from other running files or attachment
Even though you have anti-virus software you should always be careful because just in 2005 there were 112,438 viruses.
Trojan horse:
a Trojan horse is a destructive program that claim it is going to free your computer from viruses but it takes in more viruses to your computer instead. the good thing with a Trojan horse is that it can’t go from one machine to another. your machine often become infected when you watch porn then there come up a button saying that your computer lacks the necessary program and then your computer starts downloading a disk image and then ask for your admin password.
To keep from getting a Trojan horse on your computer you should never install software from unknown sources.
If you have a Trojan horse on your computer there is no visible way to see it, but if you use a virus barrier the virus barrier will find your Trojan horse and remove it. There is a new Trojan horse called pleh which is a anagram for help. it attacks your computer and might just take control over your computer . A Trojan horse it not a virus but it might carry viruses and it allows viruses to come on to your computer easier.

Thursday the 9th of November we had International day the theme of that day were called “A day in the worlds shoes”.
When we arrived in school on the morning we all went to the auditorium. In the auditorium there were a guy called Daniel from a charity organization called Crossroads. He told us about how crossroads became a charity organization and what they did for people in need.
After that we were split up into “families” we got a little blue and white slipcover which was supposed to be our house , then we got some glue and some paper. Now we were supposed to fold paper bags. If we did not fold paper bags and sold them fast enough we had to go to the loan shark. We had to fold paper bags to survive.
After the paper-bag activity we had lunch. To lunch we ate rice , carrot, cabbage and potato served on banana leafs.After lunch we walked up to the gym for other activities. One of those activities was to fetch water in a small box to fill up our own little bucket. Not just that we also had to have someone else’s shoes.
what is a blog?
a blog is a place where you can express your feeling or you can write stuff that you want your friends to know. Its almost like a diary you can have it private or open for everyone.you can blog about everything you can blog about your dog or about music or things that happens in your life.you can put in videos or pictures or just write if you want to.
